Camp Washcloth While unpacking at the campsite during our last vacation, I realized that we had forgotten a washcloth for doing the dishes! So, while my husband was fishing off the back of the canoe, I knitted a washcloth in the front. Materials: Size 3 needles – I actually used two dpn's as they were the only ones I had with me. Yarn: Sample of Color Changing cotton by Wolle's Yarn Creations Gauge: Um, not really an issue with this pattern. A larger needle/yarn would only yield a larger washcloth or a more dense washcloth. CO 2 sts Pattern Row: K1, yo, k to end Repeat pattern row until there are 33 stitches on the needle. Now: Knit stockinette stitch for 6 rows knit Garter stitch for 6 rows Repeat 3 times, ending with stockinette rows To decrease: On Right Side: ssk, knit to end On Wrong Side: K2 tog, knit to end Repeat these two rows until two stitches remain, then bo 2 sts and weave in ends.

phat fiber has landed!

First of all, let's give props to the mail lady for braving my front porch: Those are Asian Ladybugs, MILLIONS of them! Once a week during the soybean harvest, we get inundated by them. We end up having to use the back door to keep them from invading the house too much. Anyone want a free Lazyboy? Bugs are yours to take care of though. OK onto the package: Oh Fiber-y goodness is just ooozing out of the box! I laid all the stuff out on my stove. Close up of the upper part And Close up of the lower part: I then put it all carefully back in the box so that I can take it to open knitting at the Dragonfly tomorrow so the ladies can see all the cool stuff. Gotta go. I think there's an Asian ladybug crawling up my leg!
